Toowoomba Grammar School - Engineering & Technology Building

Description: The project delivered a new four-storey Digital Technology and Innovation Centre at the existing school site, providing carparking, classrooms, workshops and lecture theatres.
Avant Scope: Structural design of an alternate tender solution, which eliminated all transfer elements, enabled elimination of fire-sprinkler system requirements, and reduced slab thicknesses through use of post-tensioning.

Wirraglen Childcare - Highfields
Client: Hallmark Property, Hutchinson Builders
Build Cost: ~$3.5 Million
Description: The project delivered a new childcare facility with ~1400sq.m of floor area.
Avant Scope: Structural design of raft foundation and slab, timber and steel framing for awnings and roofs. We worked closely with the building designer and client to ensure wall alignments and roof heights/shapes could maximize lightweight wall and truss extents to provide the most cost-effective solution with the desired building form and spatial requirements.

Description: The project provided a staged delivery of ~1000sq.m of additional facilities, across a new GLA, a new multi-purpose facility, a new learning support centre, and a refurbishment of and extension to the existing administration building.
Avant Scope: Structural design of high level and piled foundations, on ground slab, timber and steel framing for roofs and awnings.
