Avant Scope: Structural design of foundations, slabs, and steel framed modules and auxiliary structures. We assisted in providing early design stage input on a modular solution, reducing build time and costs.

Description: The project delivered a new two-storey addition to the existing hospital precinct. Facilities included a new main entry, emergency department, operating theatres, medical imaging, birthing/inpatient unit, and pathology.
Avant Scope: Structural design of high-level raft footing and slab, in-situ concrete walls and columns, suspended post-tensioned slabs, and steel framing for the roof and link walkway. Avant developed an alternate tender solution, providing great value through eliminating the requirement for piled foundations, removal of an at ground suspended slab, and elimination of costly fire-treatment of steel floor supports by implementing post-tensioned flat plate slabs supported on in-situ concrete columns and walls.
